Over
the last 10 years Maple Grove has grown into one of the
more populous cities in the Twin Cities area. As of 2000
it was the second fastest growing city in the state
behind Lakeville, Minnesota. Recently a huge expansion
has gone on in Maple Grove called the Arbor Lakes
Project. This has added many new businesses especially
in the new inside-out mall. The city has approved a new
large development separate from the Arbor Lakes Project
called The Grove.

Angel of Hope Statue
The Christmas Box

Arboretum was dedicated On May 6, 2001. The
arboretum is located just north of County Road
30 at 9400 Fernbrook Lane. Additional parking
is available at the Arbor View Early Childhood
Center, 9401 Fernbrook Lane and at the Assembly
of God Church, 14320 93rd

Arboretum
The Maple Grove Arboretum is a beautiful 15-acre
park along Elm Creek. The park has over 100
local, hardy trees for exhibit and study; trails
that lead to Rice Lake and the Regional
Corridor; and is home to the Angel of Hope
Statue. To support the ongoing beautification
of the park, there is a tree sponsorship
program. There is also a brick memorial program
at the Angel of Hope Statue. |

and the
ceiling high

The Grove Cove Aquatic
Center
The
indoor
leisure pool features a zero-depth beach area,
water spray activities, a 130-foot waterslide
and a tot slide. The
indoor lap pool features 25-yard lap
lanes and a rope swing that drops into 12.5 feet
of water that is open during scheduled times.
The outdoor
pool features a lazy river, tumble buckets, log
walk, tot slide and water sprays. |
