Maple Grove Vineyard, or Vignetto Acero in Italian, has been in the Gallo family for 3 generations. Alberto and Flora Gallo came to the United States 45 years ago with a dream to plant a vineyard using the traditions of their birthplace in their new home. It was many years before that dream could become a reality, but upon his retirement in 1988, Alberto was able to purchase a plot of land, and named it Vignetto Acero for the beautiful maple trees in the area. He immediately went to work planting his grapes, and within a few years Maple Grove was a flourishing vineyard.
When Alberto passed way in 1995, his sons Jozef and Luigi took over the vineyard, and realized their own dream of building a winery to produce their own wine. The wines of the Gallo brothers are known for their excellence, and it is said that you can taste a piece of Italy in them. In 2008, the family decided to extend the winery to include a restaurant named Bella Sera, or 'Beautiful Evening', and Luigi's son Victor became the head chef. The restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine, and is the perfect place to taste the wines that are the pride of Maple Grove.
Victor Gallo is very dedicated to cullinary arts, and invests much of his time and energies into creating the most delicious and authentic Italian cuisine on this side of the Atlantic. The dishes he serves are perfect products of his devotion to good taste, concern for his customers, and faithfulness to his Italian family traditions.
